I recently did a photo job for the ever talented Jenny at Pearl Street Interiors in Providence Rhode Island. Jenny designed and decorated this whole room. It was so fun to see first hand a Pearl Street Interiors room. Jenny never got to take after pictures of her work here, so I did them for her. A Walk by a Lilac Tree

Once in a while I love to take long walks with my family and let the kids stop at every rock or bug that interests them. It's such a good chance for me to stop and smell the lilacs (or roses). I've been dying to get some shots of these beauties near my house. It has inspired my husband to ask for a field guide book of plants for Father's day! Yeah, we're nerds.

Family Tree

We are lucky enough to have beautiful mature trees all over Cambridge. One of the perks of an old town I guess. This particular tree is right out our front door. My little boy calls it our family tree and has big dreams of a future tree house someday.

Fall is Here

Location, Location, Location

Being a part of a family of realtors, these are three words I hear a lot. As a photographer I have come to find these words to have a new importance. I have lived in my current home for under a year. Since the fall, the hunt has been on for some great locations for photo shoots. The 3 mile radius of my day to day errands consists of the most boring mid-90's architecture, great landscape only at mall entrances and freeway off ramps, and track housing as far as the eye can see. A few times a month, though, I venture outside the city limits and head to the country, deeper into the heart of Maryland. Photo back drops galore in these parts. Today I had to pull the car over, yank PK out of her warm coat and snap a couple of pictures in an area I fell in love with. These area a tiny taste of what's to come once the weather warms up for more outdoor shoots...

Josh

Who'd have thought that being a scientist would make you a knowledgable photographer? My husband, Josh has been teaching me a lot about my camera. He is quite talented himself. Not only is he going to Harvard this fall to get a Doctorate in Molecular Biology, but he's a fun dad with the greatest sense of humor and an awesome husband. He learned to use the camera from working with microscopes for the past five years. I'll have to post some of his microscopy photos of cells sometime. They look like they're straight out of a text book. These blossoms are some of his shots. I joke with him about becoming MY assistant in the business someday, maybe I'll let him be my intern:)!
