If you were to ask me what I would dress my kiddos in if I were to get a family portrait done. Not to mention if I was planning on having said portrait blown up on a large canvas for my home, I would probably tell you this:
Great clothing choices add so much to your photo. My daughter is a girly girl so I'd stick with a skirt or dress of some sort. I'd want her personality to shine through in the photo.
Also I love bright colors in colored prints. Nowadays photogs are editing their photos in such vibrancy that it's a shame to not run with it. Any embellishments on clothing is always a plus. You don't want your photo to be dull. Adding textures and patterns in your attire make the photo more interesting.
For all my kids I'd want to do some layering up top. I love the look of layered t-shirts or graphic t's and a button up for the boys.
Photo time is a time I like to be more daring and creative. I am loving the mismatched look (even though a lot of these pieces wound up being more matchy than I would've planned).
Also, you can't go wrong with a little boy in a straw fedora! I imagine turning my son into a mini Jason Mraz Ha!
All these outfits were found at Crew Cuts.
Other Places I'd recommend:
Peanut Posh (for perfect little boy ties)
