Location, Location, Location

Being a part of a family of realtors, these are three words I hear a lot. As a photographer I have come to find these words to have a new importance. I have lived in my current home for under a year. Since the fall, the hunt has been on for some great locations for photo shoots. The 3 mile radius of my day to day errands consists of the most boring mid-90's architecture, great landscape only at mall entrances and freeway off ramps, and track housing as far as the eye can see. A few times a month, though, I venture outside the city limits and head to the country, deeper into the heart of Maryland. Photo back drops galore in these parts. Today I had to pull the car over, yank PK out of her warm coat and snap a couple of pictures in an area I fell in love with. These area a tiny taste of what's to come once the weather warms up for more outdoor shoots...

I can't wait to see more of your country summer shots. I sooo wish I could shoot in that area. My sister's SIL there in Virgnia is an amazing photographer - check out her site - www.photographybyjennifer.net - anyway, I love all the country backdrops she has.
